      Personally, I believe most people could adapt to their surroundings even if the location wasn't ideal. Ideal in this case means something different to each individual, rather it's climate related, distance from famiy and friends, commute time, whatever fits your situation.

      I however don't think anyone will last long "doing" something they really dislike. The factors above will begin to take a greater toll, have a greater negative influence and being stuck or feeling stuck in a job or career that you aren't happy with can be detrimental both physically and mentally.

      If an individual is able to find the "right" career happiness is certainly not a guarantee, but it sure helps. At least it's a little more pleasant to get up in the morning when you are going to a job that you like!
