- I recommend checking out The Temple of Olympian Zeus when you're in Athens, Greece

This...plink?...(is that what we're calling them?...can I get confirmation or disapproval on this so I don't have to keep questioning it?...thanks everyone) asked for the coolest thing I've seen in another country. I went with my initial gut instinct, which was the Temple of Olympian Zeus in Athens, but my second gut instinct was that pretty much everywhere I went in Greece was awesome. As a result, I included my flickr stream link to all my photos from Greece, so if you have any interest in seeing those, feel free to check them out.
The temple is almost completely destroyed except for one corner that is still standing, but the corner that's still standing features fifteen 56-foot-high columns (originally 104 columns) that are massive and awe-inspiring.
Here's me standing by them: http://cli.gs/JLy4jv
And here's some info on the Temple itself, Wikipedia style: http://cli.gs/JLy4jv
And now that I think about it, pretty much every place we visited in Greece was remarkable, so if you want to look through my flickr stream at some of the other remarkable stuff I saw, here's a link for that: http://cli.gs/rydeQy
