First Haircut & not happy about it

My earliest memory is of sitting on our green corduroy couch and cutting my own hair with my little safety scissors. I was about 3 year old. I think Mom was talking about taking me for a haircut and like a lot of little boys and girls I really didn't want to go and my three year old brain thought, "well, if I cut then I won't have to go."
