The stone cross on the hill

I would describe myself as Christian. I hesitate to use words like 'spiritual' or 'religious', simply because of the connotative meanings that words like those bring up. I'm firmly rooted in my core beliefs though. I formed them, mainly through growing up in a Christian household and going to church every Sunday, I've kind of had the fundamentals inundated into me at a very young age. But over time, they've come to not be just what I've heard from my childhood, but they've become mine. They've been tested and tried, some of them have changed a little, the way I view certain topics within my beliefs. But overall, it boils down to this.
I have a relationship, not so much a religion. My relationship with God. My faith in Him and love for Him is strong, but not because of anything I've done. Not because I chose Him. But because of Who He is, and because He chose me, mindblowing as that thought is.
So, call me religious if you want, call me spiritual, or call me something else entirely: I just call myself blessed. :)
