Oh, this is an easy one. I was already mentally spending my presumed tax-return money in my head tonight. Presuming we still get tax returns in the next couple of months.

I'm moving. This weekend. Besides all the little odds-n-ends you need from moving -- that perfect end table, the just-right bath mats -- I have a dream. And that dream is a 42" 1080p LCD TV.

In fact, I spec'd some today at Costco when I went to get a couple slices for dinner for me and the kid (classy, I am). So for that $1,000, I could get a nice Vizio aaaannnnd a home theater system. Cuz I gotta have the home theater system. I realized this as I was listening to music through my AppleTV today.

Part of me, though, does wonder if this is a bit moot. I'm not planning to get cable. For the first time in my life. Only Internet. So we shall see if iTunes, Netflix and Boxee fill my entertainment needs. It may not last long. But the more months I can save the extra $50 instead of handing it over to Cox, the better I feel about that nice TV in the living room. Once I get it, that is.
