I only saw one movie before my teens, "The Miracle of Fatima". I was a good Catholic girl, attending a Catholic school, and the story of Jacinta, Francisco and (oh, I can't remember the other girl now) really captured my imagination.
I lived with those kids, felt their love for each other, their ecstasy and their pain, and I believed everything in it. I cried at the way they were treated, and was really taken with the spiralling sun miracle. Twhole thing made me more determined to be a good girl, so the Virgin Mary might appear to me.
