I loved the fact that this book was narrated by the dog. I love books like that - that take the animal's point of view. But the story was just too incredibly dramatic for me. After a while I almost decided to stop reading the book -- it was so depressing! I thought, gosh, can this guy's life get any worse?

I don't want to spoil it for anyone who may be reading or wants to read it, but my advice if you haven't read it yet - it's a very emotional read, but it is very, very good.
