I already own a Kindle, and I love it. I like being able to carry so many books without killing my back, and that I can read samples of a book from my living room instead of driving to a bookstore. The e-ink doesn't hurt my eyes like a computer screen, so it's great for all those PDFs I have to read for class. I've started to get caught up on all those great classics you're supposed to read while I ponder my first e-book buy (There are so many free books I haven't had to pay yet!)

Yes, I know I sound like a commercial. But when I was in England, I missed books since I was so limited in what I was able to bring. I broke down and had to buy one at WHSmith to supplement the few I managed to pack and the library books that couldn't leave the manor. If I had a Kindle last year, it would have been so much easier (even if I would have had to plug it in to transfer books because I was overseas).

I will confess, though, when I have my own place, I'm still going to decorate with books. Coffee table books, and my travel books from Europe and Chihuly glass collection books..... I still love books. For example, there is no e-book edition of 'To Kill a Mockingbird'. Needless to say, I just bought the new hardcover edition. (Great book, by the way. Go read it!)

I love my Kindle, but I'll never forget the real thing. :)
