This prompt hits all my pet peeves about governments and spending.

POVERTY

If world governments would spend less on stupid sh**...uh,,,..stuff for a start......If everyone was taxed equally with no allowable tax loop holes and protection for the wealthy....If the budgets were set up to care for priorities first then health research then maybe loaning money.....If governments collected bad debts from other countries with the diligence it goes after native defaulters.....Then questions like this would be pointless.
Poverty, famine, health care all battle for top spot with environmental issues fighting for second place.
Abandoned buildings can be converted to shelters and/or housing for homeless and indigent families. Instead of state money being wasted needlessly health care for all the poor would be nice. I read about complaints about the lack of funding but if people could get preventive care maybe they would never reach catastrophic stages.
