The first other country I went to was the UK in 1999. I was 23. I loved seeing everything there. I remember taking pictures of shadows on the wall at the train station when we first got there, completely jet lagged and exhausted. We took a train to Liverpool and I stared out the window the entire time. I wanted to soak it all up.
