$1,000 is a nice prize but like all prizes is subject to taxes. So, if at my bracket that means it is $750 I would most likley save it. Sorry, boring answer, but we are saving for a wedding right now so that is pretty much the focus of all our finances. if we do save it now it will most likley go for the recepton payment in July later.
