Common Grounds is very close to the campus of Baylor University, my alma mater; it was my third home, after my apartment and the library. Waco has a surprisingly good independent music scene (or did when I was in college, anyway), and bands would play a lot of shows there. Plus, you can get a pretty damn good cup of coffee there, too.
