I have faced the destructive natural disasters for two times. Both were actually very horrible for me because I have experienced, both the disasters in my childhood only.

Generally, were we people live, is a plateau region, which is quit very high above the sea level, also very far away from sea shore. So we were very confident earlier,that no such disasters like cyclone or earthquake, can effect us. But our thinking was wrong.

I remember, It was the time of summers in India, when we have experienced the destructive Cyclone for the first time. I was 7years old and my sister was 5. At that time, my grandpa was alive. At night, as usual we have taken the dinner and went to sleep. The climate was dry and weather was quit hot. In the midnight, when I opened my eyes, I was very much scared with those loud noises of that cyclone. I hold my mother waist tightly and kept my eyes close. Suddenly, the noise became louder and louder. My grandpa was very adventurous and experienced too. He understood that it was a natural disaster . He told my father to come out of his room and we all gathered in my grandpa's room. We were very much scared as we can easily hear the noise outside, the noise of breaking of houses and trees. People were shouting.

My grandpa started to call heartily, our one and only saver, God, and as we were very small and scared off, thats why, he told us also to do the same. We were although shivering, due to that horrible situation, but in order to obey him, we joined our small hands and started calling that almighty to save us.

When we were busy in worshiping and sometimes discussing among each other, then suddenly we heard a loudest noise, as if a giant has put his legs over our house. And it was correct up to some extent. My father, saw out of the window, to investigate the matter and what he saw was very much horrible. Actually, there was a very old and big Neem tree, which had fallen down over our front room and broke the ceiling of the room. We thanked god for if we were in the front room, then definitely we wouldn't be alive any more.

Slowly-slowly the cyclone passes away by leaving a lot of tears and destructions, behind. We all were then relaxed but how could we go out, because, our entrance was covered with that huge giant tree. Our neighbors shouted from outside, in order to confirm whether we are alive or dead. But as my father replied, they confirmed and helped us to come out. We all thanked god, for at least in our neighborhood, everybody were saved. But the cyclone had destroyed almost every house, either minor or major.

I have experienced the second disaster as an earthquake, at the age of 12, when we were on visit to our Grannie's place. It was the night of winter, and before having dinner, we all were gossiping together on my Grannie's bed. Suddenly, we heard a sound like something has been thrown from a height. We also thought the same as some construction of houses were going on,so we thought, any loading or supplying of goods may be going on.

But suddenly, we felt our bed moved. We were just trying to understand the matter, in the mean while Grannie's neighbour called from outside to come out as an earthquake has occurred. We all just taken our jackets and went out of the house. Actually, it had shaken us once only and afterwards, we didn't got any shake.

On the next day, when we listen the news, we were shocked, because that was a major earthquake all over the Asia, which has destroyed many lives and property. But as we were from a place, which was a high altitude region, we felt it minor.

Natural Disasters destroys us, only when we harm nature randomly. Its all because of us. If you will see the scientific reasons, then you will come to know about it, that mostly we are responsible for our destruction.
Nature is our mother. As a mother keeps her child in her laps and the child feels secure there, in the same way nature also keeps us in her lap and treats us as a child. How can we pollute our mother? We should keep our environment need and clean, and unpolluted so that at least we can die peacefully, not accidentally.
