Your write about a dinner that takes on a life of its own, that becomes a kind of stage on which you and the person with whom you dine and the food in some small way proceed to define the world.

that's not the SPECIFIC dinner. it's just an everyday dinner in any different form with any new menu, maybe venue too, that I could count on for rest of my life :P .... question was this, right?

What's on the menu is always important. Some folks have special diets. This "count on for the rest of my life" could use a little more defining before dinner. And sure the comment was right.

thanks for agreeing with the answer. Now @your point, ofcourse menu is important, esp for a person like me who is a deep hard foodie :D. and I need difference and variety each day. so seriously can't put all that here.....but if you want to ask for one dinner....i can always answer :)

Misty: Sometimes I just don't know, and that's a kind of dinner in itself.
