    • I failed Dante...
    • I used to be the kind of person who could never ever stop reading a book halfway through. I always had to finish books no matter how much they sucked or bored me. But then I was cured of my OCD and started ditching books left and right. One such book was the "Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri.

It's not that the "Divine Comedy" is bad or boring. I just got sick of it. I got through hell and all the circles of hell, and I actually enjoyed reading the hell cantica the most - it was quite fascinating. I got through purgatory and, while it may seem that paradise would be the most redeeming to read about, when I got to it, I plain quit. I still have my bookmark hanging out in there just in case I ever decide to finish the book. Although at this point it seems like I'd have to go back and reread the whole thing.

The most disappointing part about not finishing Dante's poem is that I was watching Jeopardy the other night and one of the categories was the Divine Comedy! I couldn't remember a freaking thing. Trebek would've been ashamed of me.

I only got through the whole thing because I had to read it in college. Hell is awesome. Heaven is boooooooring. Purgatory is just kind of odd.
