    • Watership Down is one of my all-time favorite books so i figured would give another Adams book a try. Add to that the fact that the great bear in The Dark Tower series by Stephen King was named Shardik, if added to my interest.

      I started and it dragged along and dragged and I put it down to pick up something faster.

      All it would take to finish is a cross country flight or a long lonely weekend

    No one ever knows what The Dark Tower series is. I loved that series and had to wait so many years for him to finish. And then the ending left something to be desired but other than a predictable happy ending I can't think of any alternatives.
