Suffragets [i.e., suffragettes] on hike to Boston (LOC)

Who cares? What is it anyway? I just want to be treated with the consideration and respect that any man or woman should give to any other man or woman. My impression of chivalry is that it was a way for men to pretend to respect women when what they really were doing was controlling them, making women virtual prisoners of their husbands or fathers, with no legal rights.
