I wouldn't want to read minds, anyone's mind, not even my dog's mind; not even for a minute!
There is some peace in the phrase "Ignorance is bliss." The mind is not only a terrible thing to waste but it is the last private place on earth. Someone else's mind is the one place of solitude and privacy that that person controls.
Just imagining the things I could learn if I could read minds amuses me but another person's mind is a the one place I would refrain from venturing into.
I'm familiar enough with body language, non-verbal communication skills and an occasional hint of discernment that I don't need to read minds. And if I need to know what's on someone's mind there's always the old stand-by, "What's on your mind?"
Verbal communication can be a beautiful thing.
