A little to my shame, I think the film I quote most often is Baby Mama. It does not even make the cut for one of my favorite movies of all time. I do not watch it that often. (I tend to watch my favorites at least on a bi-monthly basis.) But still the lines fly out of my mouth pretty regularly.
How funny is this movie?
Let me tell you: I smile for at least 2 minutes every time I think about it.
This movie caters exactly to my precise demographic: female, single (and very aware of it), dorky, (the mindset of a) thirty year-old, brunette, closet SNL fan. In want of a baby.
Not only am I a marketer's dream for this movie, but I feel like the quotes from this movie apply so often to daily occurrences. When I cannot get out of the car, I blame its owner: "Your stupid space car locked me in!" When I am feeling particularly close to my sistas all across the globe (as happens quite often), I send my love by shouting, "This one's for the ladies!" On any occasion of minor triumph, I bellow "Ooh ooooh!" (You probably need to see it to catch the intonation of that last one).
In a nutshell, Baby Mama quotes make this single odd girl funnier (I think). Or weirder. But I'm satisfied with either one.
