I took this picture in Ireland over Thanksgiving break my junior year of high school. There were a lot of really great pictures that came out of this particular day, but this one is my favorite.
This is in the Gap of Dunloe in/near Killarney National Park in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. I could not stop taking pictures if I wanted to just because the scenery was so overwhelming, I just wanted to capture it all in my lens. This was also my first time using my Mom's new Olympus SLR and I was truly having a ball taking pictures.
The road was so curvy and convoluted to go around the great boulders of the pass that it seemed to overlap on itself, which is the type of shot I am most fond of. I like to look for angles of things like mesh and metal structure art or glass and take pictures of the objects overlapping themselves. This is one of the first pictures I took like this, and it started a passion in me for photography. To many more great pictures: may we all see through the lens that which we see in front of us.
