I think I want to answer a little differently. There are a few places I'd love to visit but not for dining purposes. When I tried to think where in the world would I like to go, my mind kept traveling to my kids. But which one? Traveling is fun and I adore vacations, but the prompt is for eating purposes.
We have children and grandchildren that I want to see. I've only seen the new baby in pictures. So, after drawing a line through every town where my kids reside, I would pick a place in the center. Then everyone would have to travel equal distance. We have kids in Washington, New Mexico, Florida, and Texas. So maybe....Dude ranch in Wyoming. The corn fields of Nebraska. Toto in Kansas. Kidding! I don't know where. But I'm sure there would be a hotel in whatever area that would offer banquet facilities.
We would need the banquet room, too! We have ten kids, nine of whom, are married. There are twenty-one grandchildren ranging in ages three months to eighteen years - nine boys and twelve girls. Somebody needs to have three more boys to even the numbers again!
Can you just imagine the noise, the sounds, the laughter? Can't you just hear the stories, the reminiscing? Can't you just picture the little children running and playing and giggling. The baby would be going from aunt to aunt, well maybe. After I was ready to share her!
That is actually a dream I have. I would dearly love a family reunion. We've seen one another from time to time, but not altogether in years. So my answer isn't WHERE, it's with WHOM.
Oh Dang!! The menu!! Well, beer, and other beverages, but I think the tables would need to be filled with appetizers, sandwich meats and cheese, croissants, veggie trays, that kind of stuff. There would be some drinking and a constant supply of foods like that would go a long way. All of that is also foods that would make it easier to feed the kids. Something for everyone.

This sounds great! I think you and I are on the same wavelength when it comes to this type of thing. I LOVE family reunions and get togethers, and wish we could see our extended family more often. Congrats on the recent addition also! I hope you get to see her soon!
