Since I rarely splurge on myself, I don't normally feel guilty. I actually have a hard time buying things for me. I've been conditioned to buy for kids, for spouse, for house. When there's extra money, those are my first thoughts. Now grand-kids are in the equation. I see toys or outfits and immediately I know which little one it would be perfect for.
I do have a Nook. I wanted one but I never thought I would love it this much. I love books, I won't ever give up books, but it's just so easy to see a book, download it and my library is happy. Not only do I have my Nook on my laptop, my daughter's Kindle is on my laptop, and I can order books on hers, but I also now have the Adobe Digital Reader. That reader is free, at least. Where ever you can find eBooks, you can download to the reader. There are tons of places with free books. Mostly classics, but I love classics.
I guess the most recent purchase I made that I really didn't need was Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes'. That was my first horror story to ever read and I loved the book. It was one of those that you never forget. It's been....never mind how many years. But I will read it as soon as I finish 'Water for Elephants' and 'Wings' and 'Bone Rattler' and 'A Child al Confino' and....well there is a list needless to say. Any one get the idea I may have gotten carried away in the last few months?
