Whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River during heavy spring run-off. During on particularly rough set of rapids, one of my friends went flying out of the raft. We couldn't see him for several seconds, then we noticed his head popping up in the middle of the raft floor. Fortunately, the raft then hit a chute and rapidly moved away from my friend, and we were able to pick him up at the bottom of the rapids.
