Most people are afraid of public speaking or death. I'm afraid of something far worse than both of those.

I haven't always been afraid of deer. No, this started just last summer after one inconvenienced my trip out West.

Lucky, no humans were hurt. And my car survived, save for a few thousand dollars in damage. The deer didn't have such luck. He's gone up to deer heaven (or hell, more likely) and haunts me incessantly. Anytime I'm out driving at night, I think of him. And himself-in-the-headlights-look.
