- When I started using the Internet
-
I actually remember quite clearly the day "my dad brought home the internet". It was dial-up (oh baby oh baby), and it must have been in 1996. It totally opened up my musical world- as it allowed me access to information about all my favourite musicians that I couldn't get before. And even though it was a slow connection, I would sit there and download the occasional mp3. I didn't care back then if it took 20 minutes a song. Oh, and I used ICQ (take that MSN messenger!), and learned html and made my own totally geeky fansite dedicated to Oasis (yup, some serious fan-love right there). Wow, it just hit me that I've been using the internet for approximately half my life. And now, I don't think I could live without it (okay, that's a lie). Whenever I don't understand a word, or have a question my first instinct is to google it, or go to dictionary.com. It'd be difficult not having internet access at the tip of my fingers.
