    • When I started using the Internet we had to carry the floppy disks uphill both directions.

    • I started on AOL back in the days before that was part of the rest of the Internet. I think it was about '93 and we only had a computer (Mac LC III) because my mom was a teacher and got a big discount.

      I didn't see much use in the AOL thing, especially since I didn't really want to talk to strangers ("a/s/l?") and I didn't know anyone else online. If I remember correctly, I just spent my computer time playing SimCity.
