sure, I do that all the time. Music doesn't distract my thoughts, in fact quite the opposite...I'm listening to a song right now...actually I've been listening to this one particular song the whole afternoon while working on my pieces for the newspaper...
Music, always inspiring...no matter where I am
...and I work at a radio station so no peace and quiet there :D
