The first time I heard the majesty and power of the ocean, I was eighteen years old in Laguna Beach. It was my first trip to California and it looked just like the movies. It was indescribable and if I did not know anything else, I knew I would be back.

All these years later, there are some beaches that I know like the back of my hand in places like Santa Cruz, Monterey, Canon Beach and Seaside. I've seen waterfalls that flow into oceans, haystack rocks, lighthouses and more. There is just something about the sound, though. It is so powerful to me and makes me feel so small, yet so thankful to have experienced it.
