My house is set up a little differently then most other people's houses. We are using one room for both the living room and our bed room. This sounds like a strange idea and I suppose it is. But, it really rocks. We've got the entertainment center along one wall. Its got the TV, the DVD player, the game consoles, etc. The coffee table is parked in front of that. Makes a great place to park the snacks while playing video games or watching TV. There is a dressing in one corner. The bed is against the wall where a window is. The air conditioner is in that window so the cool air blows right over you while you are sleeping. This is a major luxury given the recent heat we've been having. Then one wall has a little niche that juts out from the rest of the room. This is lined with windows. The couch is nestled here. There is a register behind it. Makes a great place to cuddle during the winter. The couch also pulls out to a bed. On either side of the couch are little tables. More place to park snacks and drinks. Under each table is a place to stash stuff. Then there is my little niche. Which is my favorite place to be. This is another place where the room juts. Its because they built a closet in the corner of the room. I have my desk up agaist the closet door. Its on wheels so its easy to move if we need something out of the closet and the closet is used for storage so we don't get into it very often. Then there is a clothing rack to the right. My recliner sits right between these. Then beside the clothing rack is my little storage spot. It got some drawers and a place to stack things on top of it. I keep my crochet things in there mostly. So its right in reach when I want to lounge and crochet. I have a little table that I keep to the left of me where I can put snacks or park my lap top (when it isn't in my lap that is). So, that's our weird set up. And I love it. This is the best room ever. It has everything I want when I'm trying to relax. And there's still enough space to have company over for visits.
