That's a tough one. Not that I don't know the answer, I just want to be kind to all my ancestors. I am more like my dad, but I didn't get along with him for reasons I won't go into. I'm a logical, linear thinking type of person, honest even when it causes me problems (well, maybe that is where we differ somewhat), and I'm not at all like what people (men?) say women are like. This causes me endless problems, as I'm not a touchy-feely, hug-you-when-we-meet kind of person, and if you ask me if you look fat, I'm likely to tell you the truth. So don't ask.

You and I must be quite a lot alike. I have always had more in common with men than with most women. In my working years, I worked in the construction industry, designing, engineering, estimating, preparing proposals and contracts, negotiating contracts, and the like. I've always been mechanically inclined, and loved lots of strenuous exercise, too. I also have had to tell several people who asked me how I was, when I was in excruciating pain, that if they didn't want to know, then don't ask me. That was when I had injured my neck, had two neck surgeries, and had my spinal cord skewered all the way through.

Ouch! The neck thing, that is. Nice to meet you - I haven't been able to find many like myself, I usually feel like "one of a kind". I have been an engineer, and now do whatever - CAD, a little engineering, office work. I don't want to feel stressed anymore. I just like to go backpacking in the mountains as often as I can, which is my favorite thing to do.
