I would absolutely LOVE to have lunch with Joanne Kathleen Rowling. I know it's incredibly obvious, but I just love her writing!

I'm a hardcore Harry Potter fan so my opinion is biased. But not many people can deny that J.K. Rowling is an extraordinary writer. I love writing myself and would love to write a book someday. JKR is a bit of an inspiration for me because she worked so hard on Potter. Her style is amazing and her imagination is just incredible. How she came up with everything in the Potter world is beyond me!

I'm not sure if I could ever devise a book series as intricate as Harry Potter, but JKR is such a model writer that she'd motivate me to try. Her life wasn't the happiest but she's become such an amazing person through Potter. People around the world have been captivated by her books. Especially if you've ever seen back-story on her life, it'd be interesting to converse with her.

Apparently JKR derived her 'dementor' characters from a period in her life where she was clinically depressed. She'd just had her first daughter and needed to take care of her (which she could do, but only just). Yet she was always afraid of losing her. A bad combination, I know personally.

I'd ask her if tapping into your own emotions and experiences is key for becoming a good writer. I'd ask if she always had something with her to write down her ideas and how much time she dedicated to her stories. I'd also ask what the best way was to get my work noticed if I chose to do go that route.

JKR seems like she would have immense knowledge and imagination. While I could be informed on how to expand a writing career, I could also chat it up with a fun-loving person. I'd love to have lunch with J.K. Rowling!
