This was around 1987, using a local UUCP based link for Usenet and email. We had a small local star network going between a handful of Amiga die hards in Copenhagen, using only public domain (now: open source) software. Also tried a teletype terminal back in the late 70'ies, communicating with a time share server some 20 miles away, using TCP/IP. Got my own ISP line in 1995, when the very first affordable service appeared in Copenhagen.
