- The Apple of Their Eye

Geez, to be an only child would mean knowing I was truly the apple of my parents eye. I was child number 2 of 4. What I remember most of my childhood is being told with my brother who was 3 of 4 in the bunch, that we were not wanted nor planned. We were being endured. My father mostly told us this little tidbit, but my mother never corrected him, nor did she tell us differently. I remember having my first thoughts of suicide when I was only 8 years old. My middle brother and I were always very close, and still are today for these reasons. I still love my siblings, I just wish my parents had loved us all equal, or not been so vocal about not loving us. My other siblings, are still very well favored by our aging parents, they can do no wrong in their eyes, while my brother and I seem not to exist. I am so thankful to have found God. For he is my true Daddy. He has loved and wanted me like no other, and has taught me how to love my own children with an unconditional love. I thank my Big Daddy for allowing me to have children and NEVER having the feeling like they were ever unwanted. Eventually this too shall heal.
