LOL is overused, yet indispensable. It's overused because it is no longer limited to instant messages and text messages, people are utilizing it in spoken conversation as well. Why do we need short hand to speak, isn't it bad enough that it's taking over written language? I limit my message shorthand to LOL just because if I laugh I want the person that made me laugh to know. There's really not too many ways to communicate this through an electronic message other than maybe XD, but LOL has pretty much been established as the code for laughter.

I would like to complain about phrases that annoy me, but off the top of my head... Things like BRB, ROFL, TTYL, that does annoy me. So just stop it, say bye or Hold on, or hey, I need to go feed my parrot. If you're too lazy to take an extra second to type whole words, I would rather not take the time to talk to you. How's that?
