    • Daylight Saving Time
    • Time goes by so slowly..and putting clocks backwards or forwards will not make it go any faster. There are still 50 minutes in every hour and 24 hours in a day

London 072 Royal Observatory Greenwich clocks

It all started in the Second World War. and was done to give farmers more daylight so that they could get their crops and cattle sorted out and into place. I suppose at the time it was a good idea if it helped the cpountry to survive.

However I am not so sure that we need it in 2011.
Some say that it is necessary to allow children to come home from school when it is still light whilst others say that children should be let out of school an hour earlier.
Also the children would be going to school in the dark in the early morning

Personally it makes no difference to me at all and I thin k that it is all a waste of time and energy.

We should just leave the clocks alone and let time tick by in peace

      that's all Folks

Hi Patrecia, I enjoy reading your posts, but I think you had a typo today. Unless there are 50 minutes in an hour in the UK, the rest of us have 60 minutes in an hour. Hugz, PK
