The Ferry Building in San Francisco
I have been to this place about 4,000 times but it never ceases to amaze me or make me giddy as a school girl. I don't even have to buy anything (although, why wouldn't you). All I really need is to stand in the center and take in the organic markets, wine bars and gelato shops and wish I lived there. I have been known to refer to this place as "the mother ship calling me home."

Since I feel as thought I have a romantic love affair with food every day, nothing puts me in a more romantic mood than plump heirloom tomatoes, oysters on the half shell or handmade salted caramels.
