Pune India

It's funny that this prompt came up on Plinky.com because lately all I've been thinking about is moving to India permanently. Although, I was born in India and spent the first few years of my life there, I am a Canadian. Canada is my home and where I've belonged for most of my life.

But lately, it seems that everything in Toronto and Canada is on the rise; housing, gas, food, general expenses, etc. Plus, I'm starting to many new, different adventures and opportunities in India, Pune specifically.

So, D and I have been discussing moving back permanently after our wedding. We haven't yet finalized anything. But the possibilities are endless and who knows what will present itself to us on our trip down there in March. D already has a condo in Mumbai, so we might decide to rent the condo out and use the money from there on our property rent in Pune. I really don't know at this point. The discussions have been very brief. But it is definitely on both of our minds.

I just don't know how I'll adjust to the change of lifestyle, mentality and climate there on a permanent basis. Vacationing and living somewhere permanently is definitely a different ball-game.

I guess, we'll see once the opportunity arises.
