FRIENDS

I moved to a southern suburb of Houston, TX in September 2010, and I originally grew up south of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I never really had a lot of friends, and I've never been the best at making friends. However, I do have a couple of very close friends, and they are all the friends that I need. Unfortunately, both of these friends are still in Oklahoma; more than eight hours away. One is older than me, and she has been one of my best friends and mentors since I was 10 years old. She gives the best advice and is one of the most kind-hearted and encouraging people that I know. I went to high school with the other one, and we have gotten even closer since we graduated high school. We talk nine out of ten days, even if it is through text. This woman has always been there for me when I needed her, and I don't know where I would be without her. I miss my two best friends, but I know that no amount of distance will harm our friendship, and that is more than I can say for some of my family.
