I wouldn't want a fancy car, sports car, or even an SUV. Give me a pick-up truck any day of the week!

I miss my truck. It was awesome!

My old truck was a big, beautiful cherry red GMC Sierra. It had 4WD, a hitch, and boy could she MOVE! That truck was big enough that I had to climb to get into it, but not so big that I looked ridiculous climbing in.

For a truck the Sierra got pretty good gas mileage. We consistently got between 17-22 mpg, depending on whether or not we were hauling something. We drove it everywhere!

I could haul horses, a load of hay, make a trip to the dump, and even make the bed of the truck into a redneck pool! One time we even used the truck to haul my broke-down Jeep back to the house from the post office...but that's a story for another day.

We loved it because it had a full back seat, so the kids had plenty of room to ride. It had two captain chairs up front, a 6 disc CD changer, Bose sound system, and controls right on the steering wheel!

It was a great truck! Big, red, and ready to move out at the touch of the gas pedal...sigh. I reckon I'll always have that truck in my memories, at least. :(

Before I go, I'll make a vow: One day, we will have a big red truck again for the farm.
