• Age Doesn't Matter
    • "We never really grow up… we only learn how to act in public"
Sadly the years have been non-existent on my book so no, I don't act my age. Who does? It's either you act too mature or the other way around. It all depends on how you feel and how you see the world. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
Humans are adaptable creatures. We learn how to bend and mend in ways that's comfortable for us. We go at our own pace and set our own trend. Personally, I think years are nothing but numbers on the counting meter in one’s life.
How do you know how to act your age anyways? There’s no guide book. We all have our personalities and different perspectives, in short we are unique. Who says you have to act a certain way to be yourself? Who says that this way is proper and that isn’t at your age?
I’m not saying running around in nappies when you’re thirty is right but it’s your choice and it’s a free world. If you want to act differently from the rest of the pack it’s your privilege. Don’t let people tell you otherwise.
The best gift you can give yourself is allowing your personality to shine. You don’t need to follow patterns. Society has too many rules to remember them all and life is too short to overthink things. Just be yourself. It doesn’t matter if you’re ten or fifty. Live your life the way you want to. Enjoy it in every way you know how. Not everyone will approve of your actions but you don’t need everyone’s approval to be happy.
