helping hand

This is one of my many flaws; I don't like asking for help at all. For ANYTHING. I'm not sure if I get the pride from my Leo father or what. But I really prefer being able to handle my own stuff.

It depends on what it is, though. If it's something that's high on a shelf or something I ask my mom or dad to get it; they're both really tall. If I need something that's on the other side of the room, I can ask someone over there to get it. But this is simple stuff.

When people try to pick things up I dropped or reach something high in a store when they see I can't reach it, it annoys me. I think it's because people are just doing it not to appear rude, as opposed to actually trying to help. It can be hard to tell who wants to help and who's just trying to look like a good person.

But I'm getting better about accepting the good in people. I don't mind lending a helping hand myself! But having my father and grandfather in my life a lot really makes me independent-minded. So I'm not a big fan of asking for help...with ANYTHING.
