49ers Scoreboard

I'm a 49er faithful through and through.

I remember as a kid watching "The Game" on TV every Sunday with my step-dad and not really getting it other than when a touchdown was scored. But I liked watching it. I liked hanging out with my step-dad. I liked the shouting at the TV when a bad call was made, the cheering when the Niners scored, the bag of chips and soda. As I got older I finally caught on to the rules of the game and understood how important a "first down" was and what it meant to "go for 2".

As an adult I got the opportunity to go to an actual game (and eventually buy season tickets) at Candlestick Park. And let me tell you, there is nothing else like it. The camaraderie among the fans, the cheering as a collective, the beer and fries and edge of your seat crossing your fingers hoping the extra point is good... *sigh*... the groaning disappointment when they lose at the last minute. But it's all good. Cause any given Sunday they have a chance to come back. And they will. I am faithful. They will.
