- Hmmm, Chocolate Milk... With White or Dark Chocolate? #1 of 2
I assume this prompt is asking if we prefer our chocolate milk made with dark chocolate or white chocolate. Actually, I can no longer drink cows milk. When I did drink it, I had never seen white chocolate milk, and until now, I still have not even heard of white chocolate milk. I have, however seen white chocolate, and even pretzels covered in white chocolate. They are just yummy, along with the slightly salty taste, I really do like them. But, I can no longer eat those either.
I have not tried making chocolate milk from goats milk, but I'm sure it is also very good.
Actually, I prefer my chocolate with mint. Did you know that you can now buy chocolate mint herbs? Yes, you certainly can. I have some chocolate mint herbs that I purchased last year, and it is very much like a yummy York's Peppermint Patty, only without the sugar, which is better for me.
On rare occasions, I have made hot chocolate using Abuelita chocolate (Grandma's), which is one variety of Mexican Chocolate sold in super markets. This chocolate also contains very dark chocolate, along with cinnamon and sugar. Just put it in a saucepan with whatever milk you like, and heat it on a low flame, stirring constantly, until all of the chocolate is melted, and you see the milk near boiling... The other brand of Mexican Chocolate is Ibarra, which is also delicious, but as with many things, each person has their own favorite.
Every now and then, if someone offers me some, I may take one or two, but I have to draw the line there. It all goes back to the diet being fed to said dairy cows. I can and occasionally do drink raw goat milk, and at times, I even make yogurt from powdered goats milk. It is so much better than yogurt made from cows milk, as it is smoother, and easier to digest. You see, the milk curds in goats milk are smaller than that in cows milk, making it easier to digest.
