Our family of four initially went to Rolla, Missouri for cattle business. During our stay we spent one stuffy night in a Holiday Inn. We discovered life in the great outdoors of the Big Piney River more invigorating.

On our return trip we decided to try a river run. We discovered a place called Riches' Last Resort. With $50 we entered Walmart, came out with tent, aluminum, bacon, pancake mix and eggs. That trip was fun because we made do with a few simple tools. It was the last time the four of us were one. After that summer the kids became busy with sports, jobs, and friends. This trip was memorable because we had no clue what we were getting into. As It turns out Riches Last Resort was our last union as family of four. The pristine waters of the Ozarks will forever stay a memory.
