• To Cruise or Not to Cruise... That is the Question
    • Killer Whales and a Glacier

I might consider taking an ocean cruise, as long as it was not heading to one of the places where the pirates are attacking ships, and killing tourists, and/or holding them for ransom.

Though in years past, I would have liked to take a short cruise to one of the Mexican ports, that is now something I certainly would not do these days. Drug lords are robbing and killing even tourists for no apparent reason in many previously popular tourist ports, such as Cabo San Lucas, and even in Acapulco, which was once a favorite place of mine. It simply is no longer safe.

I have always wanted to take one of those lovely Alaskan cruises. I would love to see the glaciers and wildlife on shore, and offshore. I understand there are tours that one can take that allows a group to hike inland and maybe even sleep over in the wild.

Though I would also like to go to Australia, I don't think I would go be sea, as it would take much longer than I would care to sail. For Australia, I am pretty sure that I would fly. I may never want to return, but I understand that getting permission to stay in Australia is rather difficult, and not everyone is accepted, unless they have plenty of time and money to invest in land that can be had from the government. I certainly am not as young as I used to be, and neither am I fit any longer to build my own home. A homestead certainly sounds wonderful, but let's face it, I am no spring chicken any longer.

I guess I can still dream though. Right? Yes, right. Dream on...
