Yes, so much more is received by giving (volunteering). We facilitate small prayer groups in our home. My husband is the one with the gift of hospitality. He grew up with a house full of kids, so he's the extravert in this area. His parents were always taking in kids that needed a home. I'm more of a stingy hermit. I have to work harder with the open door policy. Little by little, I'm leaving my tent to join "the land of the living."
