At home, milk is wasted. Our empty nest family of two wastes a lot of food. While trail walking, time is wasted worrying about snakes hidden under logs. Meanwhile, while worrying about things that never happen, I am missing out on nature’s bounty. In her poem, “Song of Ch’ang,”Chinese author, Li Bai (Li Po), writes what I am trying to convey.
"Footprints hidden every one of them, under moss, hidden under moss too deep to sweep away." Before this day is wasted indoors, I'm finally set free to enjoy this budbursting day!
