Volunteers

When I was in college, and even high school, I volunteered, and then the year after college, I volunteered for a year in Mobile, Alabama as an HIV/AIDS case manager. Then I started to work full time - doing social justice and case management work, educating kids who are from poverty, etc. So I've not had much time for volunteering, though I'd love to get my kids involved in that, now. The volunteering that I do or would like to do is to work with children and read to them, tutor them, get them to write and draw/paint creatively about their lives, like Caroline Kennedy has done with a Bronx after school program.
