In February, I moved into an apartment in Boston, nearly a year to the day after I walked out of my condo to enter treatment for drug addiction. Not only do I love my apartment for its own sake, I also love the freedom it represents. I can open a door and walk through it, and I need answer to no one besides myself for what I do.
