      My favorite summer was the summer after my eighth grade year. I went to Maine and Maryland that summer to visit my oldest cousin and her family. It was amazing to spend the entire summer somewhere else, and I was able to see and experience so much. We went to the Smithsonian, numerous memorials, Mount Vernon. Their beach house in Maine was right on the beach. I could walk right out of the back door and into the Atlantic Ocean. Now that I'm older, I would love to go back and visit with my husband and my son. My husband has always wanted to go to the Northeast, and I want both of them to experience the same things that I did.
